We all know that the world is shaking out from the pandemic Corona virus . In every single day hundreds and thousands of innocent people are leaving this world due to covid-19. Even the most developed country like USA, Italy, France and Russia etc. could not fight against this virulent virus. So, it has brought a tremendous loss and change of life throughout the world. In the context of Nepal, we can notice by our naked eyes and feel by ourselves how can we prevent and survive from this pandemic. Covid19 cases are increasing day by day and numbers of death also goes on increasing. As our country is developing country, there is no precise machines and equipment to test this virus. However, our country is trying to do their best. it is heard that over 800 people suicided during this lock down period. It might be because of family problem, depression ,stress and financial crisis in the family. I think the main reason for this cause is that they cannot maintain their mental health healthy.
Regarding myself, I feel that I am the luckiest girl in comparison to others. I have got everything that I wanted. I do not need to worry about basic needs and I have got my uncle whose role is not as less as my parents in my life. He is my supporter, motivator and always encourage me to do better and face challenge as an opportunity to learn new things. So, I don't think I should worry and get depressed during this lock down.
Yeah, our SEE exam was supposed to be held on March 18. I was as very eager to take the exam and everything was ready. I packed all my necessities and took it in one side. Unfortunately or fortunately, the government announced that our exam got postponed. Then all of my excitement and preparation drained into water in just a second. I eventually console myself that I got a golden opportunity to study and prepare well. I was a bit disappointed too as I already planned to visit my mother, father and rest of family after long 7 years. I was very tempted to meet my beloved family but it was cancelled. However, there is a very long to go.
After 1 month of lockdown, a little bit of boredom and loneliness came on me. I savored my few weeks of boredom and solitude and then I started missing my lovely friends, caring teachers and my entire Genesis Academy family, off course and my sweet class where we used to study, eat, play, fight and sleep together. Now, I know the reality of school life and realized that this year is my last year of school life. Well, my teachers and family pointed me the way and I have to go there to obtain something in life.
Now, it has been more than 2 months of lockdown. I am spending my days with family by learning and teaching about religious values and norms. I read some Tibetan books and improved my reading skill. Being a Buddhist, it is very indispensable to learn about Buddhism. This lockdown was a very worthy time for me and threw me back to real Buddhist.
Moreover, it is said that as a girl, we must learn about household chores like cooking, cleaning, washing and serving. However in this 21st century, I think boys are also equally responsible to be informed about such tasks. And I got enough time to learn with my aunty and via YouTube too. I learned how to make cake without an oven and that was an amazing memory. So still more things are yet to be learnt
So everyone, utilize this precious time. I know you all are feeling bored and lazy even though, try to enjoy yourself at home. One day lockdown will finish and we will enjoy together outside. I hope this year is the last and only year which makes us stay home for prolonged time. Share your feelings who are adjacent to you and stay happy. At last stay safe and stay home. So that we can fight this virulent virus together.
